On January 27, Zuo Tianyou, a hockey player from the national team, was hit in the face by a speeding puck during his training, which caused him a facial injury. After thorough examination, Dr. An Jingang, director of the second ward of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, diagnosed Zuo as mandibular fracture. On February 1, Dr. An Jingang performed an open reduction and fixation surgery of mandibular fracture for Zuo. Zuo soon regained his ability to bite and eat, and was discharged from hospital on February 4.
