On August 13^th, 2023, the Peking University School of Stomatology hosted a delegation from its partner institutions, Meikai University and Asahi University, for a week-long study visit. This year marks the 30^th anniversary of their mutual collaborations.

The visit formally began on August 14^th with remarks from Prof. Deng Xuliang, Dean of PKU-SS. He extended a warm welcome to the delegation and highlighted numerous successes achieved through their cooperation over the past three decades. He also expressed his hope that the three institutions could strengthen their partnership in personnel training, scientific research, academic exchanges, and other fields in the future. Other leaders of PKU-SS, including Mr. Cai Zhigang, Mr. Jiang Yong, Mr. Peng Xin, and Mr. Hu Wenjie, as well as Prof. Yuan Chao and other personnel who are in charge of the reception also attended the meeting.

During their stay, the 12 students and teachers from Japan participated in various activities, involving academic exchange and cultural visits. They attended lectures and visited the Department of General Dentistry, the Department of Orthodontics, the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the First Clinical Division of PKU-SS. Besides, they also visited the Palace Museum, the Great Wall, and other places of interest in Beijing, thus gaining an appreciation of the richness of Chinese culture.

In addition, some teachers and students from the three institutions delivered fabulous performances in a small talent show and their friendship grew as they exchanged ideas and laughed together.

At the closing ceremony, the Vice-Dean Prof.Hu Wenjie, on behalf of PKU-SS, awarded the certificate of completion to members of the delegations and congratulated them on gaining fresh knowledge and experience.
