In October 2024, Xuliang DENG, Dean of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology, led a delegation to visit Osaka Dental University to promote wider and deeper cooperation. 

The delegation was warmly received by Takayoshi Kawazoe, Chairman and President of Osaka Dental University, Akio Tanaka, Vice President, Koichi Imai, Vice President, Yiru FANG, Assistant President, and other staff from Osaka Dental University. In his address, Xuliang DENG highlighted the deep friendship between the two institutions and their concerted efforts in cultivating generations of excellent dental professionals since establishing the partnership in 1996. Takayoshi Kawazoe underscored the strong bond stretching 28 years between the two sides and expressed his willingness to join hands with Chinese counterparts to boost the development of stomatology in Asia and promote friendly exchanges between China and Japan.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the campus and affiliated hospital of Osaka Dental University, where the members gained a deeper understanding of teaching and research facilities in Japan. Besides, they also paid a special visit to the School of Nursing at Osaka Dental University, established on April 1 of this year, to learn more about its teaching system, training model, enrollment, and other aspects. The School is a comprehensive nursing school established by Osaka Dental University in response to global aging.
