Department of pharmacy is responsible for supplying drugs for patients, lecturing on Oral Clinical Pharmacy to different level students including eight-year MD program, carrying out research work, such as developing new agents, improving the quality of preparations, researching drug-use, evaluating the rationality of clinical medicine, monitoring adverse drug reactions, carrying out drug policy research, studying medicine literature metrology, researching of pharmaceutical service, and studying of pharmacy administration, etc.

The department consists of 6 divisions, including outpatient pharmacy, inpatient pharmacy, drug storehouse, drug manufacturing room, drug inspection office, and clinical pharmacy office.

Currently, there are 17 staff members, including 1 chief pharmacist, 1 associate chief pharmacist, 11 pharmacists in charge, 3 pharmacists and 1 pharmaceutical worker.
