Dental materials research laboratory
The laboratory was founded in 1958 and mainly engaged in the work of dental material research, teaching, quality testing and standardization.
It is also the secretariat of National Technical Committee on Dental Materials, Instruments and Equipments of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 99) and the Peking University Medical Devices Quality Supervision and Testing Center of the State Food and Drug Administration.
More than 20 staff members which have different knowledge background, including dentistry, materials science, chemistry, physics and mechanical engineering.
Major research subjects: dental materials applied basic research, and properties evaluation test methods research, such as materials science and wear mechanism of composites, bonding mechanism , fatigue, polymerization shrinkage, modification of dental materials, interface research and evaluation methods of dental materials characteristics as well as biological properties.
