Department of Oral Pathology
The Department of Oral Pathology was founded by Professor Zheng Linfan in 1947, which is one of the earliest medical departments with research facilities in China.
Since then, the Department keeps active in Diagnostic Service, Teaching and Research in the discipline and has been becoming one of the major Oral Pathology Centers in China.
It was acknowledged by the Chinese Ministry of Education by granting the department with the National Keystone Discipline in 1989.
The Department of Oral Pathology provides a diagnostic and consultative service for Peking University Hospital of Stomatology, receiving both routine and frozen biopsies, with a total of over 6000 cases annually.
It also acts as a regional and national referral centre for specialized oral pathology.
Our qualified oral and maxillofacial pathologists, highly trained laboratory technicians, and attentive staffs provide a rapid turn-around time with an accurate diagnosis.
