Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Oral Medicine
Since the establishment of department of Oral Medicine and traditional Chinese medicine in the 1970’s, it has been in the forefront in Clinic work, Training of Oral mucosal diseases and medical-related issues in dentistry.
Our mission, consistent with that of the Peking University School of Stomatology, is to promote the public general health and dental health through activities in teaching, research, and public service.
To that end we offer courses and educational experiences at the professional and continuing education levels and engage in a significant number of research and scholarly activities involving oral mucosal diseases and complications resulting from systemic diseases.
Oral Medicine clinics are held multidisciplinary clinics for patients with, Oral infectious diseases, oral potentially malignant lesions, vesiculobullous disease, burning mouth syndrome, oral ulcerations and oral manifestations of systemic diseases.
Our department is unique for the integrating western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in treating oral diseases, herbal patent prescriptions are unique in our department and widely used in our clinic.
